Birthday Parties

The Merry Kitchen hosts cooking birthday parties year round. The cost is based on a per person basis. For children, there is a group discount at $25/child with a minimum of four children. If you'd like to make the birthday cake in class, there is a $15 cost for supplies (total, not each). My kitchen has the capacity to hold 8-10 children, depending on the theme and age. I can teach large parties, but will have to travel to your home. If you want me to travel to your home or other venue, the cost is $35/child with a five child minimum.

Your child can pick a theme or class from the website, or we can make a meal around a theme you've created. Some popular classes for birthday parties are Fondue, Sushi, Harry Potter theme, Star Wars theme, Homemade Bento, Manicotti (or Italian) Dinner, Brunch, Ratatouille theme, Fairy Foods, or Build your own Taco Bar, amongst many others.

Birthday parties generally run two hours, sometimes longer if you'd like to open presents here.

A deposit is needed when you pick a date to hold the date and time. Usually the deposit is for half the amount of kids you expect. You can finalize the number of kids two days before the party. Once you have finalized the number of kids, that number is the amount you pay for, regardless of a low turnout. If more than you estimated show up, you still have to pay for the extra kids.

Please call in advance to book a birthday party. Occasionally I can do a party with short notice, but that is rare.

Adult birthday parties or private events are discounted at $35/person. If I travel to your home, the cost is $40/person. Cooking themes for adults are almost limitless.
